Peacock Engineering, now an integral part of BPD Zenith, is proud to announce the successful signing of a long-term contract with SSEN Transmission, to deliver our Fingertip mobile solution.
This partnership aims to further enhance SSEN Transmission’s EAM strategy in line with its five-year RIIO T2 business plan and its network for net zero objectives.
Peacock Engineering’s Fingertip mobile application takes EAM to the field and enables users to:
- Better capture data
- Improve the efficiency of workflows
- Create a real time asset management register
- Help to remove inefficient processes such as paper-based work order management
As part of the delivery, SSEN Transmission will also be utilising a new GIS mapping platform through Fingertip allowing it to create and plot streamlined workflows for its 1000’s strong engineer workforce.
Iain Dougan, Head of IT Operations, SSEN Transmission, said: “Fingertip will enable our engineers to carry out their work more efficiently across the entirety of our network, ensuring the maintenance of critical infrastructure, including powerlines and substations, is carried out on time, on budget and to our customers’ satisfaction.”
Tanya Pierre-James, Sales Account Executive, Peacock Engineering, said: “Having worked closely with the team at SSEN Transmission for several years, we’re delighted to be adding our Fingertip mobile application to their existing EAM solution.”
We are pleased to be partnering with SSEN Transmission on this project.
