Full Circle Generation’s gasification plant is situated within Belfast’s Harbour Estate and is capable of recovering energy from 160,000mt of Refuse Derived Fuel each year. The development was designed to provide Spirit Aerospace (previously known as Bombardier), one of Northern Ireland’s largest employers, with a reliable and predictable source of energy. Costing £107m, the facility was financed through a pure equity structure involving Green Investment Bank, Equitix and P3P Partners. The plant is Northern Ireland’s first large scale waste to energy facility.
They have chosen Peacock Engineering to implement a new IBM Maximo® Enterprise Asset Management solution to improve the Energy from Waste plant operations in Belfast.
As a result, Full Circle Generation UK will benefit from:
- Optimisation of current stock and supplier management processes
- Increased asset optimization
- Improved maintenance productivity
- Enhanced efficiency & effectiveness in their plant
Tim Tunnard, Senior Business Manager at Peacock Engineering Ltd, said:
“The Implementation of IBM Maximo® as a managed cloud service will help Full Circle Generation to drive efficiency and increase operational margins through increased cost avoidance strategies. This will empower ‘smart action’ and enable better business decision-making at all levels of Full Circle Generation’s management.”
Alan Cassells, Plant Manager, commented
