MeiraGTx is a clinical-stage gene therapy company that develops potentially curative treatments for patients living with serious diseases.
In 2020, MeiraGTx announced that it is opening a new site in Ireland. This facility will be used to manufacture commercial-grade gene therapies.
To match their new facilities operations, MeiraGTx required a class-leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. They selected Maximo® due to its position relative to the competition and good reputation in the marketplace.
Peacock Engineering was brought in to implement the IBM Maximo® EAM solution, provided via our Managed Cloud Service. We worked with IBM to craft a solution for an installation of Maximo® that kept to MeiraGTx’s strict timelines for implementation, relating to the commissioning of their new site in Ireland.
We also worked with IBM to understand the User Requirement Specification from MeiraGTX and go through the appropriate supplier auditing prior to sale. This has enabled us to implement a solution that meets their tight time scales, aligned towards bringing their Irish manufacturing facility online.
Within this one Maximo® platform, the business can now:
- Raise maintenance requests
- Manage planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Control asset and spares management
Our solution also supports MeiraGTx’s manufacturing processes in accordance with regulatory standards, including 21 CFR Part 11 and its European equivalent: EU GMP Annex 11.
Peacock Engineering are experienced in implementing Maximo® to meet these requirements, and have a tried and tested method for Maximo® that accelerates the delivery and reduces risk.
We are proud to be working alongside MeiraGTx.
